1 loaf dense white country bread, cut into 3/4-inch slices
1 clove garlic, cut in half
3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil Colavita 
A few grains salt

Steps

  1. Place thick slices of bread on a heated grill (or on a baking sheet under a broiler) and toast until golden-brown on both sides.
  2. Remove the bread from the grill and rub each piece with a halved garlic clove. Place the bread on a plate and drizzle it with the olive oil.
  3. Sprinkle each piece with a few grains of salt and serve immediately with your choice of toppings.
